On Monday, I picked up $10 in hand rolled pennies, $20 in halves, and a box of nickels. Both the pennies and halves were a skunk. Been a long time since pennies skunked me, but I did end up with two extra coins from those rolls. But the box of nickels coughed up nearly 30 pre 60's with two keepers; '55 and '38-D. My second for both mintages. There was also a dime tucked into one of those rolls, the 41st coin in that roll. So that dime paid for those two keepers.

The only nickels I have found ZERO of are the 1955, 1939D, 1939S, 1944D and 2009D.

So that was a great find on the 55. I have only found ONE 1938D, so another great find. What a great box for you! :-) Congrats.

Found a 38D last night. My third one since August. The ever elusive 50D is on my radar now.
