Well I'm finally going to do it.

This coming wednesday I'm going to the bank and order 4 boxes of pennies hoping to get some of the 2009. I went the other day and asked about it and got a strange look from the tellers. It's the "we got lots of penny boxes already" look. One teller said "we can't order the new 2009 penny boxes the just give us what they give us". Yep I know this by now I figure it's the game of odds. My game plan is if I can score the new pennies I will just order 4 boxes every week and look around other banks for new pennies. I do this until the first of december. The newest penny is coming out this thursday 1 day after I put in my order of 4 boxes of pennies.

Be nice to get a few boxes up for bid on ebay within the first week of the newest release.

After the hype over the 2009 pennies, there isn't much of a market for them like there use to be. Professional life penny boxes sell for about $40.
