I sold 11 halves ($5.50 face ) of 90% silver and the dealer paid me $68.75 for all.

I checked Coinflation after the sale and it said that the melt value of the 11 halves was as of today $73.41 and that a coin dealer will pay between $69.74 and $77.08 when silver is at $18.45 per Oz.

As I said before I was paid $68.75. Lower than what coinflation said but heyyyy
the face value was just $5.50 and I got the coins for face.

What do you all think.

Thanks

DW

DW, if my math is correct, it looks like you made 1250% on your original investment. Not bad for a quick turn-around profit. I think you did alright. Personally, I'm not selling any halves yet, but if I needed some quick cash, they would probably be the first to go. HH

12.5 is pretty fair. the melt price is a little higher, but it just got there and we are in near record price territory.

Ay, I've been studying the technique of Ebay sellers to see what works draws bestest prices and there is some that seem to have eye catching approaches that work, saw 2 today that sold multiple rolls tweenst 5 & 9 that averaged $2.62 and $2.52 each respetively well above a whole host of others who only made 2.18 to 2.32; the 2 higher number both yielded 2.11 per coin or better the rest all made below $2. Of course this is on %40's .I'm only in selling %40's mode as figure they are better to save hold for higher prices- they are far more marketable too.
