I never knew they made Indians in 1987! Nah, just messing with you; I know it's an 1887 Indian. Congrats! I have yet to find one.

Indians are always nice to find, no matter what the condition, although I have only ever found one myself.

I'm sorry, look at the time I posted. Yepper, it was an 1887. hope it's not another 9 years waiting for the next one.

Good grab on the IH ! I've never searched cents and from reading these posts figured that once in a blue moon the penny hunters will find an IH. Until your post I never realized how challenging it is to find one.

Re: Finally, After 9 Years

Nice job. I found one IH about three years ago and then went on a spree in search of others. No luck. It's truly a hard thing to do. Can you post a pic? I'd love to see it.

Wow, that must be worth a lot of money, an error like that! I'm just kidding, great find, they are fun to find, makes searching pennies even greater, as you never get skunked, unless you have real bad luck, and nice surprises like that can show up. I found my first in the first week of crhing, and I haven't found one since.

Hi all!
What are the odds! I bought a $50 bag of pennies from the bank and when I got home and started searching guess what I found. I had to soak it in peroxide overnight to see the date (1901). So 9 years without finding an indian and I find 2 within 3 days.

Just wondering, did you search halves 9 years ago? How was the founding 9 years ago?
