The last push to equal or beat last year's totals is in the final swing! I'll probably go a few times each week this month so stay tuned.

$130 in nickels was pretty good today:

Wartime - 1943-S (x2), 1945-S

First time I've found three or more in one day since 11/15/08. Brings my year total to 34. Six more to beat last year.

...plus 1939-S, 1951-S, Canada (1999) and Great Britain 20 pence (2008).

Looking good. I see you have the same luck with S-mints as I do, they seem to run rampant around here. I see a great heard in your future, you better hurry though, because the end is near

Yup, it's one of the pluses about West Coast living. 16 of my 34 war nickels this year have been S-mint. Amazing that I was able finish 48-S, 49-S & 51-S rolls. Would have taken me much longer back in my old home in the northeast.

I hope the herd materializes too, but I'd gladly take a couple of random stragglers.
