Rare Find?

Found this in a customer roll of half dollars - Can't tell what it is and the only semi word available reads " BRITA---" And it is definately larger than a half dollar.
I searched New Zealand, Australia and Britain and could not find a match. The pics are below. The coin is most definitely silver.

............Any ideas?

Man, that looks like an old coin. I'm sure that's got to be worth something. There's got to be a pick of another coin like that somewhere on the net.

That looks like Britain's William IV which would date it to the 1830s. If it's half dollar-sized it's probably a half crown. Great find!!!

Looks like you found it!!! Apparently this particular coin was only made for one year?

First, very nice find ! They were actually minted for a few years (1820 - 1824...though not 1822). It was called the "Roman style Laureate head" It's sterling (.925) silver and when new was 32mm and weighed 14.1g.
