Got six boxes yesterday and got 43 40% and 2 90% Kens. Also got 14 gold plated ones that look like they were plated yesterday. Are they worth anything?

Picked up six more boxes on the way home from work. Opened them to end check and stack to search as usual. One box had silver showing on the ends of all 50 rolls. only three rolls had a bicentennial on one end. So I have at least 97 silvers in this box. This box is a $500 box. 1,000 halves. Anyone want to guess how many will be in it? The silver showing I didn't check all the dates but the ones I did were all 40%.

I'll go through these boxes tonight when the wife and I get back from a Hockey game we're going to. I'll go through it last so my year will end with a BANG.

Back home. My team lost in Over Time RATS.

First box that had no silver showing on the top layer had lots showing on the bottom layer.

Total for box one is

40% 260
90% 2

Onto the next box. Keep you fingers crossed for me. I'll post pictures when it's all done.

Box #2 was easy. SKUNK. Except for a very nice 99 Clad proof. Onto box 3.

Box #3 SKUNK. Onto #4

Box #4 SKUNK. Onto #5

Box #5 SKUNK. Onto #6

I'm going to take a picture of the rolls in the box them lay out all the rolls and open them. I'll leave all the halves as they come out of the rolls where I had it laying so you can see what it looks like. Till then I'll try to post a couple pictures of that first box.

All done. Total for box #6 out of 1,000 halves.

Clad 106
90% 4
40% 890

I'll try to attach all the pictures. First 2 pictures are from that first box. Rest are from #6. You can see the clad stacked to the side. Oh I almost forgot. One of those 40% was a 1970S. My first.

OK we're leaving now for the game. When I get to this box I'll take lots of pictures as I go. If I don't post before I go to bed tonight I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe new year and may everyone here get lots of dream boxes in 2010.

I'm guessing 678 all 40%'s given the amount showing it's at least 66% keepers. Wow!

But how couls anyone let that box sit?

Lot's of patience I suppose. I'd be on the edge of my seat.

After peeking into a box like that I'd bound up the stairs, kick open the back door, shove my wife out of the way, tear the box to shreds, and with the strength from the adrenalin surge snap open the rolls between thumb and forefinger.
I'd probably have to wear a napkin to prevent the drool from soiling my shirt. :snorting:

Think your odds of being correct on that prediction (1047), from one Box anyway have no possible chance of winning the prize whatever it may be. :laughing7:

Thought I'd bump this back to the top so you all could see the final results. I also had a thought. I'm going to wait till Wednesday to dump the clad halves. I pick up six boxes on Wednesday and six on Thursday. This way they shouldn't make it back to the great coin vault till after I pick up next weeks halves. I may get lucky and get another dream box or two to start the year out with.

:icon_thumright: WOW - That is unbelievable. Did that box look different from the rest? There has to be some companions to that box so good luck on your next pick-up! :occasion14:
