I am new to this... can you please explain the "boxes" thing? Are you in a business that has a lot of cash coming in, or are you going out and buying boxes of coins from banks and then checking them?

Coins are managed through armor car services such as Brinks, Loomis, Dunbar and so on. All coins can be ordered through your banks and come in predetermined dollar amounts.

$1 coins boxes of $1000
$.50 Coins in $500 boxes
$.25 coins I believe are also $500
$.10 coins are $250
$.05 coins are $200
$.01 coins are $25 boxes.

No I am not a business and a lot of banks wont order coins for reg. folks but they can be persuaded.

If you want to find a lot of keepers you need to search a lot of coins. So you will need to bankroll your adventure. With $500 you could buy a box of halves and search and dump and repeat. 5 days a week or twice a day.

Or if you had $2000 you could do 4 boxes a day 3,4 or 5 times a week It really depends on availability of time and money and banks willing to fill your orders and accept your dumps.

Banks are not in the business to fullfill the needs of CRH's so tread lightly and feel your sources out.
