Kenney Half Dollar Questions

I'm reading a coin magazine and I was wondering what some of the following mean about the Kenney Half Dollars:

1979-S Filled S ?

1979-S Clear S ?

1982-P No FG ?

I also found a 1972 that is very shiny,little wear, should I keep it?

I also noticed that 1986-P and 1986-D halves are worth a little more, why?

A filled S is one that either the die was clogged with grease and the "S" is more of a blob. Clear "S" is a nice clean letter. The no FG I believe refers to the designers initials located at the base of the neck above the word "We" in "In God We Trust".

As for the 86 P & D, , the mintage is over 13 million

Generally halfs are worth face value if circulated, but be on the lookout for errors
