Got $80 in nickels from the bank, but I owed my friend money, so I gave him a roll. I regret it because, there could've been a massive keeper in there :BangHead:

Anyways, here are my finds:

1/14/10
$78 NICKELS
21 Pre-1960 Jefferson nickels including war nickel. Oldest nickel 1939-P
1 War nickel (1944-P)
2 Canadian nickels (1988, 1998)
1 Singapore 20 cents (1991)
Filled 5 holes.
***Most pre-1960 nickels found so far as of 1/14/09.***

Why not crack open the roll before you gave it to him. Not like you couldnt fill any finders you got.... One roll wont hurt you too bad though.

I asked him what he found, and he said that there was nothing old. He said that the oldest nickel he found in there was a 1959.

You said that the oldest that you found was a 39P, but the Philly mint didn't use a mintmark that year. Are you sure it's not a D? It could be a good find.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck

I put a P on so people would know that it was made in the Philly mint. If I didn't there could be the possibility that I forgot to post the mintmark. Sorry if I confused you.

Eh. There's confusion either way. When people say they found a 39, I'm thinkin': Is it an S, a D, nah, probably just a Philly. You posted that it was a 39P, so I thought that maybe you'd seen a MM and mistook a D for a P. I was just hopin'.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck
