Last week I purchased two boxes and about 35 rolls of nickels. Its taken me this long to get going due to work hours, but I had to stop and post. I tried taking a pic with my cheapy digital camera, but I cannot obtain a close up shot--just too darn fuzzy.

As I was 2/3rd's the way thru my second box, I open the next clear-sealed roll. I spread the coins out and a 1908 Liberty Head V Nickel pops up. I was so suprised I ran down the hall yelling to my husband. Well, at best its worth a whopping $2.00 (G-4, my guess), but you would have thought I had won the lottery.

From my two boxes & rolls thus far:
1939 (2); 1940 (2); 1941 (3); 1942-D (1); 1943-P (2); 1946 (5); 1946-S (1); 1947 (1); 1947-D (1); 1948 (2); 1952 (2); 1952-S (1); 1953 (2); 1953-D (1); 1953-S (1); 1954-S (3); 1954-D (5); 1955-D (3); 1956 (1); 1956-D (1); 1957 (1); 1957-D (7); 1958-D (9).

Should I really be investing in nickels? Seems I did okay on the nickels, but it also seems a two-sided coin; that is, if I am getting this many, so is everyone else. And thanks to those last week who "straightened me out" on the war nickel v. the V nickel.
Thanks for any advice

Nice job on the V,they are extremly scare in the wild. On another note nickels are my favorite, they only thing with them is unless you search a ton of them profit is not much, they are more for fun, you might want to get into hunting halves in quanity for greater pfofit. Thanks. Dennis.
