Picked up $31 in pennies and $20 in nickels, and did pretty well, heres the pick up.

62 rolls of pennys:

10 wheaties: 1939, 1941, 1944, 1946, 1947D, 1956D, 1957D, 1958D, 1958D, unreadable (really scratched)
one wheatie per every 6.2 rolls!!
35 canadians including 2 oldies: 1947, 1951
1 weird looking 1980 penny, bumps all over, kinda looks like this, but not quite that extreme

10 rolls of nickels:

7 pre 60s: 1940, 1946D, 1956D, 1956D, 1958D, 1958D, 1959D
1 War Nickel (YAH!!): 1942S
5 Canadians including 2 oldies (found in the same roll along with 3 pre 60s and the war) 1947, 1951 centennial thing in REALLY good condition.

For me, this is really good.

On Canadian pennies, I throw to the copper boxes the ones with the woman on the front, and keep the ones with the man on the front. Sorta like keeping wheats and throwing back memorials. Just for the change in design, and the man obviulsy means they are older too.

I keep em all (canadians), since i like the design, and it doesn't take too much from me. I'm gonna start a folder, i think, and see if i can finish that.

Another thing to remember about Canadians. It's illegal to melt U.S. copper coins, but not the Canadian copper.
