2/21 Nickels
Here is what I got from $100 in nickels today. 1940 was represented beautifully today. I also got my first 1938S as well, #3 on the mintage list behind the 39D and 50D. A key date and silver and a new foreign coin is always nice to get

Re: 2/21 Nickels
Pretty nice selection of finds there. Wartime silver is always the bomb! I think you're the first to crack the top 5 rarest nickels.
Hey Brian, I know you said you've exhausted all the halves in your area. Do you search them by only looking at the edges, like dimes? The reason I ask is that I got a lone 68D out of my $100 today (woo hoo!) and while examining it I notice that the edge has a fair amount of copper showing, enough that it could be mistaken for a clad. I hope you haven't missed some silver by checking only edges.
Also got my first 2006D penny at McDonald's...I'm lovin' it!
Last appearance in pocket change:
Wheat penny - 1955 (11/1/12)
Silver - 1928 dime (12/5/11)
Dollar coin - 2010-D (Pierce) (4/16/12)

Re: 2/21 Nickels
Yeah, I always check the dates on all of my halves. The 68D I found two weeks ago has a lot of copper in the edge.

Re: 2/21 Nickels
Great job on those! I've gotten my share of 38's and 39's...but no S or D yet. Great job!

Re: 2/21 Nickels
Thought I could continue the silver streak tonight with $35 in nickels but no such luck. Still a pretty good selection though -
