Nice finds...Been checking my pennies for wheats...based on your finds there must still be enough in circulation that one could find them. Don't have the patience to look through rolls...yet...

I wish there was a way to estimate how many wheaties are out there.

My $10 produced a 1940 & 1946D yesterday, plus a 1950 Canadian as a bonus.

Since I'm into pennies on a regular basis now I'm going to chronicle how many of the series show up this year. I'll try to get each date and mintmark from 1941-58, minus the steelies since the slot machines don't accept them.

Snee, I found 3 1958 wheaties that looked new :o. Do you know anything about this date? I live in central Ohio and thought maybe this was just a freak thing ??? Any idea on the value , maybe 10 cents ???? Thanks

They still do show up in circulation. I found a 52D just yesterday in the snacko money drawer at work. I generally fine 2 or 3 a year in regular pocket change.
