Any issues cashing Halves back in?
Hi guys, I have never done any coin roll hunting, but y'all have me starting to get the itch! I made a call to one of my local banks and they said they don't get boxes of halves, only bags for $1000. Should I be concerned that "bags" as compared to "boxes" may be less likely to contain anything valuable? Please excuse my ignorance on this topic
Also, the most important part of my post. Can a bank turn you down if you walk in with $1000 in halves
I called two other banks in the area and they told me they don't deal in halves and I would have to take them somewhere else? Is that legal?
thanks!

I'd loveto get Bags from my Bank have heard they are oft very good.
As for turning them in yes have had many problems and Banks that refuse to take them too; my veteran approach is to now NOT drop at same Bank more than once a month or longer so as to not wear out my tenuous welcome- this strategy has worked well, so far.

Find a coin counter, will save you lots of time rolling them back up.
There is no silver left around here...

Some PNC banks in pa. have counters they do not charge customers for dumping coins.

Don't wear their machine out my friend, or talk tooo much either. I assure you once they weary of your weekly dumping visits of thousands of coins they will KO you with fees or outright banishment- take it from a not so old hand at this- been there done that! Key to ti all is to spread them dumps around way around if you can do it.
