We are visiting the inlaws this weekend so my 4yo, 8yo and me left this morning for new banks. Were getting stories about how someone bought them out of halfs yesterday. Saw one more bank to hit and was told that some woman dropped off $70 that her husband had collected but he died so she didn't want them. We have all heard that dump story, but when my 8yo said the first one he saw was a Walking Liberty I knew we were in luck.

Total score:

62 90%
36 40%

38 WL
8 Franklins
16 Kennedy 64

Oldest was a 1916

Very nice looking 47 Walker

Gonna be a good trip. This is following last Friday when I got 2 rolls of Franklins. I am amazed still.
Always good to see a roll labled like this:

I would be on cloud 9 for days after either of those two events. Perseverance pays off!! Congratulations. I've said it before, young tellers just don't care!

1916 and 1917 are both great dates, no matter the mint mark.

that's really cool. I hope to someday find a few rolls like that. I've hit some solid rolls of 40% before, and some other rolls stuffed with some good silver, but nothing like that.

Well, I went back today to ask if they had any quarters or dimes brought in by the same lady. They said no but I did get a 1943 Walker and a AU 63 Franklin from the teller tray. This is a good vacation.

Excellent follow-up! The best I can do from a teller tray is a new Presidential dollar - bleeeeecccchhhhh!
