I know everybody here CRH's for the silver, but does anybody else have a passion for collecting things other than the Silver we get from CRH?

I enjoy coin collecting as well so CRH kinda fits in.
I have a severe fetish for Morgan dollars. I have a couple MS65's, bunches of MS64's, many MS63's and a 2X2 box full of AU's and some key dates. I also love the ASE, prettiest coin outside of the Morgan that was ever minted.

What about everybody else, do we share somethings in common other than CRH?

My real passion? Life. I enjoy every day like it's my last. I go out 3-4 times a week and drink til 2:30 in the morning, then wake up for work at 8am. Work hard, play hard.

Hobbies? Coins have taken over... In particular, I'm trying to build a set of PCGS MS63 Morgans with 3 examples from each mint (MS63, MS63 PL and MS63DMPL) with the exception of Denver, one coin of each year. I do love video games, though, and those probably take up the majority of my free time... after banks close.

Oh, the '93-'95 will wait til later in life. There's a reason I'm doing MS63's... it's what my budget will allow. I've got the DMPL CC and PL CC, those two set me back nearly 500 total, and that's a whammy to my budget for the year. I only have 6 right now, I just concocted the idea a couple months back, and am having trouble finding affordable DMPL's, haha.

I have close to a couple of grand invested easily and only have 1/3 of the set done in MS only. I have bought many many duplicates
because of the grade and knowing that eventually they will be worth 4 or 5 times what I paid for them.

I collect old gold mining ephemera from North and South Carolina.

Ive got a lot of very old books, stock certificates, bonds, original photographs, and mining equipment from the period.

At one time I owned over 16000 books, most of them duplicates, but I sold off most of that and have a core collection of maybe 250 books now. The oldest book I own is from 1824. The most valuable item is a 1896 prospectus on a local gold mine, with 17 original photographs, etc made up for an investor in New York.

I collect coins, mostly as a homage to my grandmother who got me started in it.

I also used to collect circa 1900 to 1920 French risque photographs. They were considered pornographic in their day but nowadays they are not as revealing as what you might see in a Cosmo magazine.

When I started you could find them for 10 to 25 dollars each. By the time I had a nice sized collection, I was bidding 700 dollars for a single photograph and losing to people who would bid more than that. The market has cooled somewhat since, but there are still some out there that sell for up to 1000 each.

Most of the passion I used to have for this type collecting has been channeled into CRH. I don't have the money to plop down on an old book or photograph anymore.
