Sooooo,,,,,the weather up here in NY was awful today. I wasnt gonna go out for lunch, but then thought i would pick up 2 boxes of dimes to sort through in front of a crackling fire tonite while listening to the rain pelt the house. The bank teller said they didnt have any dimes to give me......but some lady just dropped off a bunch of halves.......do you want them? I actually debated for a moment, then thought...what the heck. Halves have been awful lately, but i took a chance. On the way to my car i noticed that 2 rolls were marked in pencil with a "69". I figured it was just a fellow CRH'er playing with me. As soon as i got to my car i cracked it open (as the sleet pelted my windshield)........it was solid 1969!! Roll #2 was also!! My first solid rolls ever!! The remaining rolls yielded 28 more 40%'s and a lone 1964!! 10.36 ounces * 28.31 = $293 minus face value of $35 = $258. I realize it's not a HUGE score.....but it's my biggest thus far!! Woo-hoo!!
