Unusual Nickel - Mint Made or Man?
The back of this nickel is odd and unsure if it was something someone did or if could have possibly come out of the mint this way?

Post mint. Man shaved down the nickel. Don't know why, but this nickel was shaved.

I used to date a girl whos dad worked on washing commercial washing machines..and i saw a quarter that looked just like that..except the other side wasnt in that good of shape

To me it looks sort of like someone put it up to a belt sander that had a fine or worn out belt on it.

I agree, that's a sure way to sharpen the belt to your sander

I didn't say that it made sense.
I just said that that is what it looks like. I de-burr metal parts everyday on a belt sander after working it over in a lathe, milling machine, CNC mill, or saw, and that's what it looks like to me.
