Save them and use them when and if you ever go on a trip to Canada.

For most, it's not a problem, you have the right idea JJ. Mix 'em in rolls and spend on gas!

I know of at least one bank that will purchase foreign currency. I have not idea if you need a minimum amount to do this.

I don't come accross too many Canadians down here, but I've always saved them for my trips up to the hotsprings. Once I pull into town, I stop at a bank and convert my found Canadian change into Loonies and Toonies to spend.

Heck send them to me. We up here in Maine often trade with the Canadian dimes and quarters it's common to receive them in change and legally spend them in the stores just like the regular dimes and quarters :hello2:.

I am about as far as you can get from Canada in SoCA I am about 100 miles from mexico. I canadian coins all the time. No biggie, I spend them like US coins, except those funny looking nickels :tongue3: Most people down here don't even look at the coins. Yardsale are my best way to find them. Also find a lot of Japanese 100 yen coins I will offer 25¢ never got turned down yet. (100 yen = $1) My wife is visiting Japan next week, she will have a handfull of 100Y.

I've got a big ziplock baggie full of Canadain coins - mostly dimes from dime roll hunting but I have found a few twonies in half dollar rolls as well. We live within an hours drive of Canada so they get cashed in every few months when we go to visit!

i just throw all of that crap in a big jar, gonna fill it up, store it away, and later when/if i go to canada etc., i will spend them...not a big problem cuz i usually only get one canadian dime per box, not to much of a cut back in my crh money XD

I dislike the Canadian dimes for the simple fact I think I scored a silver only to see it is Canadian. Rims look like normal silver Rosies to me.
