Went to a Capital One during a road trip, and a saw a teller holding a very worn Morgan Dollar. It was so worn, that it didn't even have a date on it. I quickly said I would like to buy it. It turns out that the teller had given the old fool who cashed it in $0.50 thinking that it was a half dollar. The guy came back in and bought the dollar back. If only that teller would have given him a dollar.....

Tough break!! I always ask if tellers have any of the old big dollars as I am finding the majority of them are kept in the drawers, not the trays. So just because you do not see any in trays, always ask as they are probably kept out of site.

yes, i agree! i dont think teller trays have a spot for "silver" dollars/ikes.....only cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, halves, and the small gold dollars...when i ask and if i get some (a lot more than u would think), its usually in their drawer :dontknow: go figure y the trays would have been made w/ a spot for ikes i dont know :icon_scratch:
keep it up and hh!
