I have been remiss in my coin roll hunting...stupid job has been getting in the way. Traveling to Carney Oklahoma for a couple of weeks and wonder what the casinos around there are like? Do they use coins? I will be hitting banks on the way for halves so I should have something to show you all...Will be traveling from California...Couldn't help myself and had to re-post these finds from 3/23/06...STILL have dreams about it! ;D

Carney? Hmmm, really small town. I don't think too many casinos here in the state actually use coins. The last I remember (over 3 1/2 years ago) was they used a paper printout of your winnings and you were reimbursed at the cage in cash. There may be some changes since then but I think we're still a little ways from a full blown Class III state except for some Indian Compacts. JMO

Thanks stoney...Know of any Arizona or New Mexico casinos that still use coins? I've got some great locations to hunt on private property with the MXT in Carney...Just wondering. Will be hunting a school house from the 1800's so wish me luck. As far as I can tell...unhunted, as it is on my step father-in-laws property! Not much like that here in Ca. ;D

Sorry, can't help you wil AZ or N.M. I know Missouri uses or used tokens on some of their riverboats in St. Louis.
Good luck & HH!, sounds like lots of great possibilities. The potential is definitely out there. A friend showed me what he found in western OK. A stash of halves and silver $'s, there was about 70 or so total.
Watch out for ticks though, it wasn't cold enough this winter and they're pretty thick in places. One friend here already has Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Get a spray with plenty of DEET in it and check yourself thoroughly when you come in tfor the day.

Flea, I beleive a # of them do have some kind of table games, especially the larger ones around OKC and Tulsa. With the popularity of Texas Hold 'Em, they'd be crazy not to. I don't go no more so I don't know which casinos have a compact with the state.

I haven't been to one in a couple of years although I live about 5 miles from one. I know they play blackjack but what else? Monty
