pretty good day for 2 boxes of halves...

picked up my 2 boxes of halves today.

got 1 90% and 25 40% halves. as i was driving home from getting them, i stopped at a bank to cash in some other halves, (i split my boxes into $200-$300 bags and go to about 5-6 different branches over time, so i don't piss people off, plus it's easy to drop off $200 in halves they don't bat an eye at them). anyhow, some other guy came in with 3 bags full of halves to cash in (he looks thru them as well, i overheard) musta been $1500-$2000 in halves that he dropped off. i don't have the courage to do that. i get wierd enough looks from time to time, plus i don't want to piss off the banks. so far i have gone thru 14 boxes of halves in under 6 months.

Great finds Craig! I know what you mean about the weird looks. By the third trip to Wells Fargo the merchant teller asked me what I do with all these boxes of halves. I just said I have a lot of nieces and nephews and he said "Oh, okay." He's really on the ball though because he anticipated me calling and had already ordered my latest box. Cool guy.

I tried my usual $100 from the casino today and got 10 rolls of brand new 2000-P's in yellow wrappers. Ugh!

I use to take one box bank to individual bank branches so the banks wouldn't get upset. This is the second week in a row that I went to a branch and brought the firs box in and then told them that I had two additional boxes in the car. I asked if it would be ok to bring them all in,or would that upset anyone. They said it's fine bring them all in. Then I told the teller that I search about 3 boxes of halves each week,would it be ok for me to bring them all in each week and she said sure not a problem. She also manually updates my bank book so I don't have to figure out the numbers. I swear I have never had a better service from any other bank in the last 30 years. I'm actually going to go to one of their job fairs,who knows maybe I can get a job with them. They treat their customers nicely.
