I picked-up a $50 bag of cents, a $500 bag of dimes, and a $500 bag of quarters from a counting machine in addition to my box of halves last week. The halves and quarters were skunks. The bag of dimes had a 1939 Merc and 2 quarters. I finally got to go through the cents tonight and in addition to 14 Wheats (1937-1958), a nickel and a dime, I found this 2000 cent

My first off-center coin. Not as impressive as many I've seen pictures of but still enough to easily see it was mistruck. I don't imagine its worth much but it still looks cool.

My 2008 US Coin Digest book puts the value of a 10%-30% off center strike at $3.00 and up. A coin that's off-center by 31% to 70% is valued at $5.00 and up and more then 70% at $2.00 and up. Off course, this book is 3 years old so the values may have changed.

Nice find! It appears to be a 2006. It isn't a wide AM though.

Thanks everybody. I'm pretty sure it is a 2000. The lighting in the picture does kind of hide the edge. Here is a close-up of the date.

I hadn’t even thought to look for a wide AM SFBayArea. Here are a couple closer shots of the AM. If anyone can tell for sure I would appreciate the help.

Posted the pictures on another coin site and everyone agrees with enamel7 that it isn't a wide AM.
