Good Score today -- two rolls and 23 Walkers from the 1940's

Folks,
Last week I got three skunk boxes and the fourth only gave me a 1967. I've been at this long enough to know you have to sustain yourself through the down-turns, so I hit a bank that I generally check-in with. Last year, that bank gave me about $11 in Franklin's and 64 Kennedy's. The same teller that gave me the coins last year had two hand-rolls set aside for me. We chatted a bit and I thanked her for the coins. ;D

I didn't feel real lucky, three out of four skunks had taken the starch out of my optimism, so I didn't open the rolls until I was stopped at a traffic light a block from home. Peeking in the first roll, I saw the back of a Walker shinning out at me. I had a good laugh sitting at the light. It never fails, good times will follow bad! :angel5:

So I held off opening the rolls until I could get to a camera so I could share the sight and experience with all my CRH friends. :director: :happy1:

Well, the pictures below will tell the story. I hope you all have a great week and, like Rileyboy says, "It's out there!" So I hope you all have the chance to go out and find some. :icon_sunny:

Steve

BEAUTIFUL score my friend! I love any 90% coin, but there's just something about a walker, IMO one of if not the most beautiful coins ever circulated

My thoughts exactly, I always ask about walkers when I hit the gold/silver buyer. To him they mean nothing more than spot price, I'll trade a 64' for a walker any day.
