also how mant total coins have you gone thru.

Hmm, I'm not that diligent on keeping "searched-thru" totals. A rough guess for halves would be $7500, nickels close to $2000 maybe and pennies about $250-$300

These are my totals just from one bank where I buy a box a week.
I started in April and log everything I get on a map on the computer.
Halves:
40% - 36
90% - 15

That's out of $5000

Not too bad....

Well Immy, my counts don't look quite as good - -

Silver - zero in any denomination;
Wheaties - 4, and 2 Canadian King George pennies;
Nickels 2 (non- war nicks) plus 1 Canadian King George V nickel (the one with the morse code);
Error coins - 1 half; 12 quarters; 1 penny (none of which are spectacular - mostly missing or weak strike lettering);

Admittedly though, my throughput of coinage is nowhere close to yours. ;)

And the most successful part of my searches - the copper pennies (1959-1981). Total: 1,998, plus 150 Canadian pre- 1996 pennies.

Seriously thinking about purchasing my first box of pennies next week. It just doesn't feel right without a pile of coins waiting to be searched. ;D

Bob

OK I'll join in with my stash found since 3/1/06 when I started collecting. $18,322 total coins

5 Bens
23 1964 JFKs
260 196x JFKs 40%ers
1 Bicentenial 40%er
11 Proof JFKs

Maybe they sent all the Walkers back east cause they're evading me here in SoCal. Even the 90% JFK have been hidding from me this last month.
