Pickings have been slim here in the city by the bay. Bought $100 in halves Saturday and found 2-40%ers in the same roll. Went back to the same bank and bought another $150. Out of the 15 rolls, 8 were ENTIRELY 1976 halves. I was getting pretty annoyed.
On the last roll, I had a HUGE surprise. When I slid the roll out into my palm,I noticed one of the coins was slimmer than the rest. It was a 1943 Australian Florin. I googled it and found the pic below. They seem to be made of silver, tho mine doesn't look as nice as the coin below. Mine has less scratches and dings, but none of the nice toning. Anyone know for sure the metal composition? Looks like a keeper for sure.
