I posted about 6 months ago about a friend who works at a bank and had $10,000.00 in pennies and wanted to know how many of them that I wanted. I picked up $1,000.00 and bought a Ryedale. Besides these pennies, I do another $150.00 a week from my local bank and road trips. I found 3 Indians and 2 1909 wheaties in the $1,000.00. Last Wednesday, I went back and bought $3,000.00 more. My friend tells me that they just received $8,00000 more from a local school and wanted to know if I wanted them. On Friday I found a 1909 and this morning I finally found a 1909 VDB. I have found quite a few of the older wheats so I am very happy with these boxes. My problem is should I buy the last $3,000.00 she has in boxes or should I but some or all of the $8,000.00 which are in bags. I do not mind hoarding pennies but the space required for an additional $11,000.00 in pennies plus what I already have would probably be to much.

Just keep buying them and dumping them like you have been. Buy $1000 a week if that's how you have to do it to make it reasonable for space, then just dump back what you don't hang on to before you buy more. I'd try and get them all if you've been having good luck with them

Question for you, One million pennies($10,000) weighs 5580 pounds. How do you plan to move and store them? Once you go through them, have you made arrangements for dumping? I don't know any bank that is prepared to take over 2 and a half tons of pennies. Good luck with your new adventure, please keep us posted. Cheers, JP

Coolplx9. I picked the $3,000.00 with my truck and tlr. I return about $200-$250 a week using 6 or 7 different banks. Right now I am keeping the 59-82 coppers. If I had too, I could get my brothers work truck and pick them all up. Storage is a problem. I just found an excellent 1931P.
