Craigs list or E-bay. The fees will kill ya on the bay though. Hope this helps. Doug

If I did craigslist, would I do it as an auction or a base price? I have about $600 face.

Are you seriously thinking of listing $7000 worth of silver on Craig's? If you do, you are asking for trouble. Unless you are going to meet in YOUR bank and deposit his cash,I wouldn't take the chance of being followed out of the bank. That is a helluva temptation you are laying out there.

Apush and I use Dallas Gold and Silver for our sales. Call them tomorrow at 10am and ask for Andrew. Tell him Jim Porter told you to call. He will give you the latest quote and take it from there. Their phone is 972-484-3662. Jim

Thanks Jim. I realize there is no way I can sell that amount on Craigslist without taking a huge risk. My first thought was offer them by the roll, but that would take forever. I have called Dallas Gold and Silver in the past and had a good discussion. I am glad y'all have had a good experience with them. I will let you know how it goes.

Dude, bring backup if your seriously going to put that much out on craigslist. I would personally call around to coin shops and or pawn shops to see what they are offering. Some of them will pay near spot for silver, or up to 90% spot, which isn't bad, and they won't put a gun to your head and just take it from you.

Just to be clear, I was looking for the best place to sell in Dallas. The first feedback was Craigslist. Thus my questions. I don't want the group to think I would be dumb enough to sell $600 face of silver on Craigslist without an armed escort :)

That being said, I do have $100 face of bicentennial quarters that I will put on CL just for fun :)

I have also used Dallas Gold & Silver Exchange (Euless branch). They have always done me fair. The only thing I have found they lowballed me on was war nickels. Apparently they do not like those, but they always gave me a good price on 40%.
