I picked up two boxes of halves from the bank that I purchased boxes from two weeks ago.

Box 1: 25-40% silver halves, 1-90% 1964 half

Boxs 2: NOTHING

I also picked up two boxes of halves from a new bank and the reulsts are:

Box 3: 13-40% silver halves, 1-90% 1964 half , a modern day love token half (Love Ya Sharon) lol, 1984(stamped with 1960-1980 on font), and finally a half where the date can not be read. Maybe a problem with the dyes?

Box 4: NOTHING

A grand total fo 38-40% silver halves, and 2-90% silver halves.

:)

Looks like you did good this go around. I guess after 20 years (1960-1980) of love that (Sharon) needed the money, LOL. Congrats on the silver and Best of Luck on the continued HH!

Cool love token! What are the chances it was made for former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon? Nah, prolly not. Great silver haul! That unknown date looks like 1994 with some deliberate damage (maybe from a screwdriver?).

Was the 1960/1980 Platted? The one I have was and I think others on the forum were also. Can't tell from your photo but it looks like it might have been.

Good finds.

I was wondering if the damage to the date was from a clogged dye or if someone did something to it. It looks like it's a machine error the more I look at it. ??? lol I've never seen any other modern halves with writing on them in any of the boxes I've searched so this one is a keeper at least for now. :D

I believe it might have been plated at one time, but now it's pretty light. But it's my first one like that,so I'm happy with it. ;D
