I've pretty much exhausted all available halves at the banks within 80 miles of home. Today I drove a 300 mile loop to expand into territory beyond my last mini road trips. I was able to source $180 of CWR's, and an additional $30+ in loose halves.

The loose halves yielded a 2004P NIFC, a 1988S clad proof, and one 40%'er. The $180 of CWR's yielded 18 X 40%'ers. The silvers were all in a batch of 9 rolls from one bank. The best roll in that batch held 9 of the 40%'ers. There were 6 solid rolls of uncirculated 1976 bicentennials in that batch, and lots of high grade uncirculated halves. It looked like someones collection was cashed in.

No 90 %'ers but so much better than the skunky halves boxes I've been getting from the bank.

Edit: Pics added. Sorry about the blurry group pics. My cellphone camera finds that focal distance range to be too far for macro and too close for normal.

Good haul Bob, but the driving would cost me a fortune in my 14 MPG Dodge. HH Doug

The first 108 miles was driven on solar powered battery pre-charge, the remaining mileage consumed about 4 gallons of gas. Gas here is about $3.75/gal right now, so about $15 in fuel cost.
