Re: What's your oldest CRH find?

Cool thread. Here are mine:

1903 Indian Head cent
1909 Barber half
1940 Mercury dime

Also have a 192something British silver coin (the size of a half) that I haven't been able to ID. Will post a pic on here sometime.

Re: What's your oldest CRH find?

If this includes buying bags off the machine, then my oldest find is a 1816 Foreign coin, followed by 3 large cents.

Re: What's your oldest CRH find?

1910 cent - earlier this year and also once about 40 years ago as a kid when a neighbor gave me a bag full of coins to search through.

1936 Buffalo nickel - this year. Many with no dates in change as a kid.

Some Merc dimes as a kid (probably nothing earlier than 1930); a 1954-d last week (just started on dimes)

Many 1940s quarters in the late 1960s; one 1943 that my wife got in change (and I kept) last year.

1937 Walker half from a teller's tray about 15 years ago; since starting active CRHing abt 18 months ago, the oldest was a 1952 Bennie.

Never got a Morgan or a Peace dollar except via gift or purchase.

Re: What's your oldest CRH find?

When I was first starting to collect coins, back in 1954, I found an 1837 seated liberty dime. I still have it today.
