HOLY SH... er, CRAP!!!

Kalpinro, when you started roll hunting did you ever think you'd hit a mother lode like this? How come the tellers aren't snagging this stuff before you get it? They must know silver is worth bucks.

I swear if these tellers knew what silver was worth this (they are all young 20ish) they would not give it to me. But Hey I'm not one to complain!

I wonder is someone ripped off dad's collection and is turning it in piecemeal? But congrats on your good fortune. :)

Congratulations that is truly awesome. Great fortune is smiling upon you indeed. Someone has perhaps the answer. A collector in my area had his entire collection stolen. As far as I know nothing local turned up, but makes ya wonder if its a mistake, theft, or perhaps drug desperation?

Either way, a very huge CONGRATS to you. You certainly must have done something very nice to have such great fortune, especially having a teller show tell you and give you. Perhaps thats the true miracle of it all.

That is amazing, although something tells me he is wasting a very valuable coins collection without permission. I hope that not the case. In any case kal, great score!!!!

Normally I would say "KEEP IT AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!" but in this instance I would have to defer to what Kiros said and that this collection IS MOST LIKELY HOT, and there is a collector out there that is very, very unhappy right now. I would probably submit to W&ET to see what kind of scratch you could get for the story and then notify the authorities before this kid (or the tellers) get smart. Having a big collection of silver coins is cool but not when it is someone elses man. You never know. You could circumvent the whole process and find out the kid is dumping an inherited coin collection and buy them straight from him, or you could make whoever he is stealing or stolen them from very happy by returning them (for the amount of money you put in of course).

What did you say this guys phone number was ??? haha j/k

You really should try to find out who he is, and make an offer on a huge hoard of Silver Dollars,
before he turns them in for Face Value ?!?! The tellers IM SURE will be keeping those should they
turn up. Hopefully it is just an inherited collection and the guy is needing some money. Ive
seen that happen in my own town a couple times.... so thats probably the case, but ya never know.

There was a guy here that paid for cigarettes at the Uni-Mart , with 2002-2005 1.00 Ounce Liberty
Bullion dollars one day, then the next with Morgans, and so on and so on, with Dimes to Halves, all old
silver... for about a week. Had a friend working there, but it got scarfed up by employees and friends.
I missed that boat :)

Nothing like paying 48.00+ for a pack of generic cigs. /faint

Good score !! Congrats on some sweet finds.

This could be legit, but it smells really bad. The teller should get the kids phone number and check it out IMHO.
