What's Your FAVORITE Find? Share Your Pic & our Story...

Well, my favorite find may not seem that big of a deal to anyone else, but I love it! It's a shiny, uncirculated '64 Kennedy with gorgeous gray toning. It almost looks like someone pulled it out of an album where it sat for many years. I have to look at it at least once a day, it is that friggin cool. (The pic doesn't do it justice.) I found it on a whim - I was on my way to a doctor's appointment. I arrived at the office about 15 min early. There was a bank next door, so I thought I would run inside and check for halves. They had 3 rolls. I opened the first - found a '67. Second roll was a skunk. I found this beauty in the last roll. Gotta love '64s any time you can get 'em! I have found older and more valuable coins than this, but this coin takes the cake! So what is your favorite find? Could be the oldest, the most valuable, biggest cache, etc., or just the best looking coin you've found - like mine. Post your pic & your story.

I would have to say this: the middle franklin, AU luster, super shiny. the scan does no justice to the coin though.

This isn't a CRHing find, but i picked up a beautiful, i mean BEAUTIFUL peace dollar. the tonig is incredibly dark and black, and she was only $20, and that was when silver was at $45 an ounce. Gotta love it ;D

This is one of my favorite and most valuble roll hunting finds. I bought it for $5 from a line teller, so I believe that it qualifies.

So far, I have four favorites. It is just too hard to determine which is my fave.

I will say, that sometime in my life, I hope to find a Walking Lib.

That, without a doubt, is going to be my favorite....that is, if I ever find one.

I actually found 2 of them in the same box the second time I went coin roll hunting.

Got lucky I guess.

Those are some very nice finds and getting that '38D for $5 is almost as good as getting it at face (and that coin is a beauty too). :)

To clovis97: good luck in your search for a WL - I'm sure if your searchin' you'll find one. Maybe you will even get real lucky like I did just earlier this month when I scored my first WL's - 23 of them with 37 BF's in 3 solid cwr's from just a $91 search. The nicest coins of that lot are a '42S in probably close to XF condition and a '39D that is in probably similiar condition to the '38D above.

That was my overall best score but my single best coin find was a 1899 Morgan dollar (mintage 330,846) in probably F condition that I found with 3 other Morgans ('78, '78S & '01O) in April of this year. I thnk the '99 Morgan lists for around $130+ or so but I'm not sure how much they are selling for on ebay.

Well those are my best scores so far - if I expect to do better than those I'll probably have to increase my volume somewhat - but who knows. That's the thing with CRHing - you never know for sure what you will find or how or when you will find it. Just have to keep on searchin'.
