Franklin "Ender" w/Pic: rileyboy

Hi All,
I know that everyone likes to see a nice "ender" everytime they open a box
of halves. Gives you a great feeling doesn't it. Well I got this one the other
day and at first I was amazed by it's brightness and it's 1948 date. After
putting on my glasses, I was disappointed to see that it had been "cleaned".
Thought I'd take a photo for you all before opening it just to prove.......that
it's still out there! It turned out to be the only one in the roll, but the box
produced a total of (36) 40%ers and this Franklin. Hope you enjoy the photo
and keep at it, everyone. There's a "treasure of silver out there!"
Happy Hunting and Merry Christmas to everyone. It's now time for my wine
and cigar.

Palidin,
Not a proof. Just a 1948 in very fine condition if it hadn't been
cleaned. Not too much wear on either side and no scratches or
dings. BUT "CLEANED"....rats!

Rileyboy,

Too bad about the cleaning, but still a nice surprise and a nice box.

Happy Holidays and HH,

Feels good to see enders. Nothing better to open a box and look at the reverse of teh Walkers and the (barber eagle: never seen one)

Merry Christmas Rileyboy,
Yes, we all love those enders! That certainly was a very nice box and and still goes to show, "it is still out there." Merry Christmas to Riley!

Nice little "Bender" you found there rileyboy, and what a box! I have only found one myself in the year and a half I've been at this...boy was it a thrill when I saw a bell on the end of one the rolls! I am still looking for that elusive walking liberty ender. :icon_sunny:
