Since the beginnig of August -It's been a blisful year~~~~ish.

I've recaptured the love of a passionate, time-wasting hobbie
that I adored as a child {now with more finacial prowess though}

Grabbing some silver is nice...

But finding a few friends that share a simple hobbie...

Who could ask for anything more.

For me it would be a 1949 AU Ben with full lines on bell reverse.

I graded it AU58 myself. (not a pro and used PCGS photograde) :tard:

No extreme value in my favorite finds, but I enjoyed my 1907 barber half and 1902 barber dime I found this year.

I'd say a double clipped nickel, single clipped penny, or perhaps an AU ben franklin 1962d

Most of the coins I have found have been fairly modest. I have however come across a choice uncirculated (MS63) Canadian $1 bill with a serial number of LW0000047. This and many other rarities of the $1 bill were saved for me buy some friendly tellers at the bank but I would say that was the best one of the lot. I believe it is worth $80-$100 according to the books. All the $1 bills I got that day in total could probably net me over $400 if the right person bought them all. As to my best coin, I would have to look it up.

For me, this is an easy one:

My first Walking Lib, a 1944, very worn, but still stunningly beautiful in my eyes.

I can't pick just one.

These are my favorite coin finds this year.

What is it with the Nickel? 1984? Is that an die variety or error?

My best one is 1900-S Half in EF condition.. that's probably my best CRH single coin find ever

It doesn't compare to the Seated, but my best find of 2011 has to be the 1912d Barber half I found in about $100 from the coin counter.

Did you find the seated quarter in a roll? Or detecting?

The seated was found detecting. They were tearking down a tot lot and had all the wood chips and 2' of ground removed. I detected the pile and found it. :icon_thumright:

The rest were found CRHing.
