There are only mint locations in Winnipeg and Ottawa so anywhere else is safe from the over exaggerated culling. There isn't much silver for the mint to cull so most of the culling is copper coins and nickel coins. They call it a coin recycling program but it is really low scale.

Re: DIMES
Just curious if halves are really bad there, would you consider doing quarters? The average is usually 1 per 5 boxes I believe for quarters but hey if halves are really bad, you could do quarters. They're easy to search and dump if you get clear wrap. 1 quarter basically = 1 40%er. Just a thought, I don't do quarters often but did find 3 last year. If boxes here get worse and worse, I could do quarters. There's always an ample supply of them and banks will always need them. I've pondered the possiblities if CRHing got worse for halves, gotta have a back up. I think dimes are good but they're harder to dump and there's not always an ample supply as the quarters.
I would do nickels if there is a good way to edge search them. I know that war nickels tend to be grimmy and dark on the rim but it's a lot of work and who knows some may not. If only there would be a fast way to search nickels. That's probably the last un-tapped outlet for finding silver if everything else disappears.

Re: DIMES
I think that the yield is better, given the time and effort, to continue with dimes instead of quarters.
Last week $2140 of dimes yielded 1.25 oz of silver which is the rough equiviliant of 7 silver quarters. I think I am ahead in silver from where I would be if I search 4 half or quarter boxes

True for dimes.. just suggesting quarters if people are getting skunked on 15 box streaks of halves.

Slow week, but I am not dismayed

A decent start, but the key to dime searching is the boxes that produce 4-6 dimes. That is the key to a good week.
