Tanner and I both did well in this battle. Tanner was the winner using a new stategery. When ever I stop by a bank looking for halves I will ask for $5 or $10 in cents. We believe you have a better chance of getting a big score of wheats in customer rolls instead of Brinks. (of course sometimes the teller just pull $5 from a Brinks box and hands them over). When we fill an empty box with $25 Tanner uses it for searching.
Tanner scored 19 Wheats (oldest 1935) 1 King George V (our fourth one ever and still needed for our Canadian cent book) and 1 King George VI.
Dad did well but came up short with 13 Wheats (oldest 1919s) and 2 King Georges, the 1947 still had red tone. We have never seen that before on a KG (it may have been cleaned).
I like the reverse of the KG V's ... Very old school, throw-back looking. You Canadians have class! (And not just in your coins... you have the GREATEST rock band of all time in RUSH. (Shame on you, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. I hope when they finally do get in, they politely decline.)
