First boxes of february turns up a FRANK and a (no FG)
Got my first two boxes for February today. Found a '53 Frank, '64 Ken, '68 Ken and a'69 Ken. Also found a gold plated '83 that is stamped 1960 - 1980. Not sure what its from but it's different so I'll keep it for now. The Reverse in the picture my daughter found it's a 1983 (no FG)

That is a gold plated half. They are relatively easy enough to find. I think the consensus is most people keep them for some odd reason. It was done by a 3rd party to commemorate Kennedy-

congrats on the finds. You did beter than me - I only found 3 40%'s in my first 2 half boxes of the month yesterday. I also found 3 '82 no fg halves in a box on Mon. These are my first no FG halves I've found and I'm not sure what they might be worth.

Today is the first time I have looked for "no FG's" and my daughter found it. She likes looking over each and every coin. As for their price completed auctions on ebay has '82's and '83's going for 3-10 dollars depending on their grade.

your daughter obviously has a good eye and knowledge of coins and seems to be quite a good CRHer. I don't always check for FG's either but these 3 no FG's I found Mon were in rather nice cond.. with really nice sharp edges and I thought they might be NIFC's but turns out they are even a litlle better if they might be worth at least a few bucks or more a piece. Maybe Monday's 2 skunk boxes weren't such a skunk after all.

I've gotten to where I look for silver and the shinny sharp edges too. I figure if its not silver and it's beaten up it probably isn't worth keeping. As for my daughter, she's in fourth grade and smart as a whip. She loves going through boxes with me. It really helps me because she is so meticulous.

She sure seems like quite a good little helper and this is a good hobby to share with a son or daughter while teaching them the value of real money at the same time.
