Re: How do you get the CWRs?

I just go in and ask if they have any hand wrapped coins. It really depends on the bank, most banks with coin counters will have a comparatively low stock of CWRs because

    1) Few customers would roll their coin if they can just dump it in a counter
    2) Business customers (the main users of rolled coin) generally loathe CWRs and so if a teller gets a large amount of CWRs they will just dump them in the counter and get rid of them

But if you let them know that you like CWRs, if they get in a large amount they might call you.

My bank has a coin counter in the lobby. So I will start asking. Thanks

It depends on the bank. Most "mom and pop" banks will have CWR's. Major chains like TD and BOA probably will have MWR. The Chase banks by me have CWR's so I stop by and get a couple on my way home. You just have to shop around. You will find some I'm sure.

    What they all say.

Some banks will give you them, some dont carry them. I hit about 20 banks today, many would not deal with me because I am not a customer. The final bank I hit had $380 in CWR's and another $600 from their coin counter. I bought all they had and now they will be calling me when their counter gets full. Win Win for me. I now have 2 banks that will call me when their counter bags get full and I will be working on getting more in the local area to do it.
