    skunk streak broken!

Finally broke my skunk streak yesterday. I believe I was up to 15 boxes, which takes a long time for me to get through that many.

Was looking through rolls and found a George V penny in the first couple rolls (1917) so I thought it would be a good box. Found a Franklin in the box later! 2nd box had a '64. Pretty happy with a 90%er breaking the silver skunk streak. Will also put the 1917 in my album as I don't have a penny from that year yet.

That is a british penny. Canadian large cents had a completely different design and were slightly smaller than the size of a half dollar/british large penny.

Coins bearing the seated Britannia figure ( the design on the front of your penny) are exclusively british designs. Another identifying feature which should help you to distinguish weather or not a coin is british is if the name of a country/former colony on the coin.
If a coin bears a british monarch and the same coin does not have the name of a country/colony/commonwealth nation then it is british. No british coins say "Great Britain" or "The United Kingdom", they merely have the monarch, the denomination and a cool design. Where as a coin from Canada or Australia or India while the country was largely under british rule/was a colony on the coin it would say the name of the country/colony. I know that back in the day Canadian large cents and Australian large cents were identical in design except one said "Canada" and the other said "Commonwealth of Australia".
