Well, last Friday I picked up another box o' halves.

Got home and began to search through them.

In the first 8 rolls, I found 7 1964 90% Kennedys and a 1971-S Proof!

Searching through the rest I found a total of 5 40% halves, and one more 1964, for a grand total of 8 1964 halves, 5 40 % and the 1971 proof.

It almost seemed as though the 1964 halves were planted, as the first 7 rolls I looked in each had one 1964, in NICE condition, rolled just about in the middle of the roll.

The 1971 proof has the most circulation wear of any proof I have found so far. And being a 1971 half, it has the really wide and flat rim around the edge, which is kind of a neat feature.

This box had no 1997-D uncirculated looking halves at all. I only saw a few from that year, and they were slot machine halves.

Okay here is a pic I took of the proof and the 1964s. The '64s have no tarnishing around the edges at all. So when I unrolled the rolls I found them in, they were basically screaming at me "HEY LOOK!!! I'M SILVER!!!"
Woohoo! Happy Hunting!

Any time you find more 90%'s than 40%'s is a good day's searching! Nice going!

I use 10 silver halves per box as my benchmark. So by that standard you are ahead of the game by 3, Congrads.
