Hi, Gman:

Very useful information you posted here. Looks like I have to spend money on the top 4 definitely if I want all holes filled. By the way, what's the total amount of pennies you have searched?

I found a nice 1931-d once... 4.48M minted. Unless you count the 1972 doubled die cent I found in 1987... about 75,000 or so minted (estimate).

Since I started keeping records in 2006...

approximately 4,600,000 pennies searched (approx 1840 boxes though most were in bags)
17476 wheat pennies found (approx. 9.5 wheats/$25)
33 Indian head cents (1 every 139,379 pennies searched though 14 of them came from one pickup so almost double that if you take that one find away)

I had searched some between the early 1980's and 2006 as well, but nowhere near the volume... like $10 here, $5 there a few times a year.

I found at 31 D. I think it's the only key date I have ever found.

I recently found a 11-D. I don't know the mintages but it's one of the less common early wheats. It may not be my lowest mintage find either.
