Called ahead to a few banks yesterday... 3 banks had halves. I had been to this small town before last year, and scored about a dozen 40%ers, so I knew the tellers weren't cherry-picking the goods. Got there with my son today and scored some sweet finds!

Bank 1: $100 CWRs: skunk

Bank 2: $100 bagged halves off counting machine: Scored 8 silvers - 63d Franklin, 64, and 6 40%ers. That was my first experience with a bag off a counter. Most banks here either don't have counters or won't sell them. The teller counted them out in front of my son & I, who grinned at each other at the sight of silver rims. You easterners who can buy bags are lucky fetchers!

Bank 3: $70 in Sting rolls and $200 CWRs: saw double enders on 2 of the Strings rolls. Opened them up and sure enough, both SOLID 40%! I have never seen a solid MWR before... that would've been an INSANE box, if they had the whole thing. The CWRs yielded the rest: 2 more SOLID rolls of 40%ers and about 12 more throughout the rolls.

In all, 100 even. 1 Ben, 1 64, 7 65s, 9 66s, 35 67s, 34 68s, and 13 69s.
My math puts it at about 15.2 OUNCES of glittery glee!

It's still out there, folks!
Enjoy the snapshots.

Nice score!

Never even heard of a solid MWR before. Must have been one heck of a collection dump.

Nice finds! I would much rather look at that silver than those women on the side of the page.:laughing9:

WOW you did super well!!! The closest I have ever come to a solid MWR was 5 coins... amazing, I would go back to that bank and ask them to order you half dollars, you never know! :)

Back in the day, I recall some boxes with 300,500,900 silver coins that I'm sure entailed solid MRW...but I haven't seen any lately. Congrats!

Look back in the archives...I think GT 350 posted a box that his Dad found that had less than a 100 clads...anyone else remember this post?
