I think they made 40% quarters for the 200th, just make sure it is an S mint mark and do the drop test to confirm!

it looks like it is too circulated to be from a mint set... my opinion.

Like BigH said, make sure there's an S mint mark. I just dumped over 20 solid rolls of bicent quarters, not one 40% found.

Excuse me, I goofed. 1776-1976 S quarters were minted in both copper-nickel clad AND silver clad.

It looks like it is an uncirculated "S" mintmark which I believe would make it 40% silver. I believe the only "S" mintmark copper-nickel coins are proofs and yours does not look like a proof.

If its 40% silver it will look like a 40% silver half with a two tone. Usually the two tone is a darker grey or silverish and very obvious, but in some halves usually the 1969's that are in good condition the copper edge is quite clear.
