i take pictures using my 4.0 megapixel and a 10x loupe. just hold the loupe to the lense of the camera and it works fairly well once you get the hang of it

Great tip on the photos. It even worked with my 30X loupe. I have to work on the camera shake though. I think we might be seeing a lot more macro photos on this site from now on. Thanks.

OK, I had to try it out. 1st is from reverse of a 1959 Ben. The 2nd is a die crack on a 1983 penny. The hard parts are holding steady, glare off loupe and fighting the auto-focus. But it works.
