Just curious to see what you guys think the best coin you have found is. Doesn't have to be your most expensive coin, just the one you like best. So far I think mine would be my first buffalo coin with a full date. I just started CRHing this year so I havent found any 1800's coins yet or even any from the teens/twenties. The buffalo is a 1937, full clear date, no mint...all the legs are there, but so far that is the oldest coin I have found. I know it's not worth a ton but I love the buffalo nickels and before finding that one I found 25ish dateless/partial date buffalos so finding that one was pretty cool for me.

Anyway, just wanted to see what your favorite coin is. I know some of you guys who have been at it for a long time probably have some really cool stuff tucked away in folders or something. HH!

As you can see the coin was from the Royal Hawaiian Mint. No, I do not live in Hawaii.

About 4 years ago I went on my first coin roll hunt and hit a $240 collection of halves at my third bank. It included three solid rolls of silver halves including 40%'s, 64's, bens, walkers, and barbers. It started my hobby (addiction). Afterwards I hit a 3-month skunk streak of hunts that produced absolutely nothing. I almost quit altogether and then I got a single silver half dollar from a hunt...a 1918 King George Canadian sterling silver half...my favorite coin. I kept hunting needless to say.

Although I haven't really CRHed in a few years now I noticed I had never made an entry here, so here goes.

My favorite finds would be a tie between a 1992-D close AM cent (purely because of rarity) and the two ancient roman coins I found. Close behind are the 4 silver dollars (2 peace and 2 morgan) followed by a 1891 seated dime. After that a tie between a handful of barbers (halves and dimes), numerous Indian head cents (18 different), and 3 of the 10 lowest mintage wheat cents (1924-D, 1914-S, and 1931-D).

My favorite coin would have to be a 2009-S 95% Copper proof cent, lincoln Indiana Years(Lincoln sitting on a log reading), is my second proof penny ever, and a 2009-S type set 95% copper proof too... since 1982, proof cents have been zinc, but 2009 was the exception, with the 4 new designs released, only the proof ones were copper.

FYI, BB. The 95% copper cents were issued in the mint sets and the Lincoln Coin and Chronicle set (besides the proof sets). They have the satin finish and is the second lowest mintage of Lincoln cent series. 95% Copper 2009 Lincoln Cents | 2009 Lincoln Pennies
