Just curious to see what you guys think the best coin you have found is. Doesn't have to be your most expensive coin, just the one you like best. So far I think mine would be my first buffalo coin with a full date. I just started CRHing this year so I havent found any 1800's coins yet or even any from the teens/twenties. The buffalo is a 1937, full clear date, no mint...all the legs are there, but so far that is the oldest coin I have found. I know it's not worth a ton but I love the buffalo nickels and before finding that one I found 25ish dateless/partial date buffalos so finding that one was pretty cool for me.

Anyway, just wanted to see what your favorite coin is. I know some of you guys who have been at it for a long time probably have some really cool stuff tucked away in folders or something. HH!

My favorite is the George Washington Carver half dollar- mine was a 1952(not the one pictured)
The revenue generated from the coin was intended to be used to
“oppose the spread of Communism among Negroes in the interest of national defense.”

That's probably my favorite one I've found as well, except mine is a 1954. I also found a 1917 India One Rupee that I like alot too.

My favorite find so far has been my 1944 no mintmark "Henning" Nickel. It's got a long history so if anybody is interested, here's an article that gives a good explanation. Henning Counterfeit Nickel

I know you no longer have this in your posession since its technically illegal to own a counterfeit...but lets just say you decided to keep it, and you were going to get a quote on how much its worth, what do you think it would be?

My favorite find is a 1922 Peace Dollar. This was found across the street at a different bank, 5 minutes after I found a solid roll of halves. It is still hard to believe the teller handed it over to me.

Tanner's favorite find is our oldest an 1882 Indian Head.
