Another $1000 combed thru, and eleven more 40%-ers (65, 66, 67x3, 68x4, 69x2) rescued from circulation.

Also discovered I have some competition! I watched a guy putting $20 bills into one of "my" machines, hitting "cash out" and checking the coins a few at a time. He didn't stay very long so I wonder if he got tired of it and gave up. Unless you're doing $100 at a shot your hit ratio will be minimal.

Discovered that Binion's Horseshoe has ten more 50¢ machines tucked in the back of their casino, bringing the downtown total to 60 machines. The hopper of each one holds roughly $500 so that's about $30,000 in halves in the machines alone at any given moment. And that's not counting the bags and bags of halves ready for fills. No wonder silver pops up on a regular basis!

Another oddity is that I'll find an occasional quarter as I'm sifting thru the halves. I first thought I was getting shorted 25¢ but when I turned them in, minus the quarter, it was exactly $100, so quarters must not register at all as they exit the machine. Weird!
