    I'll Show You Mine if...

    ...you show me yours...

Is it just me, or has there been a shortage of silver porn lately on the Forum

I went to the bank & pulled my silver from the safe depos box this morn to put it in 1 big pile to give you all a little silver smut to look at.

    Included here are:

    10 Walkers
    1 '99S 90% proof Ken
    2 Mercs
    50 Roosies, including a '63 proof
    7 war nicks
    951 40% Kens, including a 69S proof, 70d, 76s
    1 dateless Standing Liberty qtr

About half of my Canadian crh finds, the other half in folders. And a cigar-box mixture of crh and other shiny coins recently moved to safe-deposit.

That's all from CRHing in the last year... Except for that Standing quarter... I got that in change at a laundromat in 1999.

Fist... Cool canadian silvers! I'd love to find some of those. Can u spot those rim searching or do u have to look at all the dates?

    Tim... We're not worthy!

You can magnet search for Canadian silver.. much easier than date checking

Hey, could you share your method for upgrading 40% to gold? Whats your loss on the transaction?

Here's a pic of a solid roll of 40% I got from a bank. Whenever I get around to inventorying all my silver I will post pics.

I have used Provident metals most recently. Basically on my latest upgrade, I sent in 400 40% halves, they in return sent me a $20 St. Gaudens gold piece. I also received a check for $107.00. So in actual total I paid $93.00 for the twenty dollar gold coin. I really do not look at it as a loss as I only paid 50 cents for each 40%'er.
I have also made similar deals with a local coin shop.

I think Fist is in the US, so it is a silver looking rim like any other silver dime rim.
1/100 of an American dollar is a cent. It is NOT a penny. The word penny is used by several other countries, such as Great Britain, to denote their smallest denomination. In order to be numismatically correct, you must use the term cent to describe the American coin.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
    ― Edmund Burke
